Business Process Optimization Director manages teams that study and develop optimization changes to an organization's business processes to improve operational efficiencies, quality, service, and profitability. Conducts research on best practices and industry trends for the business. Being a Business Process Optimization Director oversees the in-depth analysis of existing workflows. Utilizes flowcharts and process maps to define existing processes and identify areas needing improvement. Additionally, Business Process Optimization Director engages and organizes subject matter experts and cross-functional groups to collect inputs. Implements the tools required to collect and measure relevant data, identify key performance indicators (KPI), and produce a data-driven analysis of critical functions. Introduces new business processes to the organization and produces documentation, tools, and training to support adoption. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Business Process Optimization Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Business Process Optimization Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience.     Job Description
    Analyzes business and technical processes to formulate and develop new and modified business information processing systems, such as production and inventory control systems, financial tracking systems, marketing and human resources systems. Represents the business unit to define requirements and business cases for the technology developments. Coordinates with business and technology teams, ascertaining system requirements, such as program functions, output requirements, input data acquisition, and system techniques and controls. Requires knowledge of e-commerce tools, computer system capabilities, business processes, and work flow.
    Basic Qualifications
    Must have either a bachelor's degree in related field and three (3) years of relevant professional experience; OR a master's degree in a related filed and one (1) year of relevant experience.
    Preferred Qualifications
    Prefer experience and/or training in suites such as: SQL, Power BI, Business analytics and reporting, SAP and/or accounting systems. Successful candidate will coordinate across multiple organizations to program, compile, analyze, and produce meaningful metrics and evaluations or project and program health. Should be comfortable working in a teaming environment and learning new processes. Focus areas are in capital investment, process improvement, and project management.
