Business Process Optimization Director manages teams that study and develop optimization changes to an organization's business processes to improve operational efficiencies, quality, service, and profitability. Conducts research on best practices and industry trends for the business. Being a Business Process Optimization Director oversees the in-depth analysis of existing workflows. Utilizes flowcharts and process maps to define existing processes and identify areas needing improvement. Additionally, Business Process Optimization Director engages and organizes subject matter experts and cross-functional groups to collect inputs. Implements the tools required to collect and measure relevant data, identify key performance indicators (KPI), and produce a data-driven analysis of critical functions. Introduces new business processes to the organization and produces documentation, tools, and training to support adoption. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Business Process Optimization Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Business Process Optimization Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience.     Job Summary: The Payroll Director is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of payroll operations within the organization. This includes oversight of all payrolls for our business partners through developing and implementing payroll and compensation strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure accurate and timely payment of employees. This position is located in our office in Lakewood, NJ.

    Primary Responsibilities:

    • Develop and manage efficient and accurate payroll processes, including timekeeping, data collection, and payroll calculation; oversee the preparation, distribution, and reporting of payroll data, including salaries, wages, bonuses, deductions, and taxes
    • Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies regarding payroll, taxes, and deductions
    • Oversee the administration of payroll systems and software, ensuring data integrity and security
    • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax reporting requirements
    • Prepare and file required payroll reports, including W-2s and government mandated surveys
    • Maintain up to date on relevant payroll and compensation laws, regulations, and industry standards
    • Process prevailing wage payrolls and prepare certified payroll reports as required
    • Conduct periodic audits of payroll records and processes to ensure accuracy, identify discrepancies, and address any issues
    • Other duties as assigned

    Supervisory Job Duties:

    • Carries out supervisory duties in accordance with the Company’s objectives, policies, and applicable laws. Responsibilities may include but are not limited to planning, assigning, and directing work, interviewing, hiring, training, evaluating performance, rewarding and disciplining employees, addressing employee concerns, and partnering with Human Resources to resolve escalated employee matters.

    Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty mentioned satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or ability required.

    Education: Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Finance, Business Administration, or relevant field from a four-year college or university

    Experience:

    • Five or more years in payroll, compensation, or related roles, with progressive responsibility
    • Three or more years’ experience in a managerial role
    • Must have skilled nursing facility payroll experience
    • In-depth knowledge of payroll processing, tax regulations, labor laws, best practices, and reporting requirements
    • Strong understanding of compensation principles, salary structures, and incentive programs

    Technical Skills:

    • Computer and Microsoft Office proficiency
    • Strong understanding of HR and payroll systems, software, and technology

    Soft Skills:

    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with exceptional attention to detail
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with employees at all levels
    • Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
    • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with integrity
