Business Process Optimization Director manages teams that study and develop optimization changes to an organization's business processes to improve operational efficiencies, quality, service, and profitability. Conducts research on best practices and industry trends for the business. Being a Business Process Optimization Director oversees the in-depth analysis of existing workflows. Utilizes flowcharts and process maps to define existing processes and identify areas needing improvement. Additionally, Business Process Optimization Director engages and organizes subject matter experts and cross-functional groups to collect inputs. Implements the tools required to collect and measure relevant data, identify key performance indicators (KPI), and produce a data-driven analysis of critical functions. Introduces new business processes to the organization and produces documentation, tools, and training to support adoption. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Business Process Optimization Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Business Process Optimization Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience.     I. Job Summary

    As the WM Way Coach, you will work with site leadership to train Operation, Fleet, and Dispatch Leaders and other Department groups to align business solutions with the company's strategies and initiatives and have a background in Leadership, Training, or Business Process Optimization (BPO).

    II. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    Essential Function

    • Champions continuity of WM Way process across the Area.
    • Supports mindset and coaching development at the Site.
    • Works with management and individual team leaders by contributing strategic vision and integrating a broad range of ideas regarding business solutions development.
    • Contributes high-level expertise in business processes and systems analysis while considering the business implications to the current and future business environment.
    • Works with internal and external customers, suppliers, and other partners to resolve problems, respond to suggestions for improvement and enhancements, and test, refine and institutionalize solutions.
    • Drives the project(s) and the organization toward achieving business results.
    • May act as a source of direction, training, and guidance for less experienced staff demonstrating coaching, mentoring, and leadership skills

    A. Education and Experience

    • Education: Bachelor's Degree (accredited), High School Diploma or GED (accredited) and 5 years of relevant work experience.
    • Experience: 5 years of relevant work experience (in addition to education requirement).
