We are seeking a Bookkeeper/Business Office Manager to join our rockstar team at The Sentinel of Rockland! This individual will provide clerical support; organize and maintain resident files, assist in the coordination of services to residents; assist in providing services to residents, families, and guests. Maintain accounts receivable, resident funds accounts payable, payroll, general ledger, and various spreadsheets to track or create information needed for analysis of operations.
Qualifications:
1. Accounting/Bookeeping background
2. Advanced knowledge of bookkeeping beyond high school or equivalent work experience
3. Healthcare experience
4. Excellent customer service skills
5. Knowledge of Excel and ability to learn computer programs used in this facility
Responsibilities:
1. Review all pending admissions prior to admission to ensure proper benefits and income levels.
2. Invoice every resident/resident representative every month for Room and Board and any other appropriate charges.
3. Ensure that all receivables are received and applied properly.
4. Maintain the daily resident census and review daily to ensure accuracy.
5. Prepare correspondence and other forms/documents related to accounting.
6. Maintain complete and accurate Resident Personal Allowance accounts.
7. Ensure that receipts are given each month for rent and allowance accounts.
8. Other tasks as assigned.
