Duty Description The incumbent will be assigned to the USTRANSCOM Commander's Action Group (CAG) and will provide mission support to the Commander and other senior leadership.
They will leverage analysis, communications skills, and strategic planning to foster innovation among 140K personnel including the 2,000 headquarters staff and three component commands (Air Mobility Command, Military Sealift Command and the Surface Deployment and Distribution Command).
Strategic Communications Officers author 4-star correspondence and shape engagement strategy and positions for the Command.
The incumbent will research and author strategic thought-pieces for the Commander, Congressional testimony preparations, Command priorities, and senior level correspondence.
As a member of the CAG, they will also lead and assist with read-ahead material, engagements planning and execution, command briefs, and other tasks as assigned on behalf of the Commander.
