    As a Business Intelligence and Visualization Specialist, you’ll use your expertise to help clients make sense of complicated data. You’ll help them notice application delivery risks faster, allowing them to adapt more quickly, driving their business forward and delivering their product lines more efficiently.


    This position is based in Tukwila, WA and will require multiple days a week in person at the client site.

    What You Will Do:
    • Elicit requirements through application owner-focused discovery meetings
    • Develop an understanding of critical business issues and relevant actionable items from a data perspective
    • Connect to data sources, evaluate data sets, import data and transform data into Business Intelligence for client leadership to make informed decisions
    • Curate useful and specific data to influence strategic decision-making: write queries, run reports, synthesize data, interpret and explain results of analysis
    • Utilize a variety of tools and techniques to deliver valuable insights and thoughtful data visualizations
    • Prepare executive presentations, identify inefficiencies, and ensure the data within the solutions is accurate
    • Design information models, dashboards, metrics, visual reports, and KPI scorecards to address the needs of internal stakeholders
    • Provide accurate status updates to all team members and stakeholders
    • Assist with the determination of the best software to use to display data (COTS or client developed tool)


    Skills and Experience Required:
    • 4-6 years of relevant experience in Computer Science, Data Analysis, or Data Visualization
    • 4 years working in a data development and data visualization environment
    • Knowledge of graphics and visualization tools and the ability to evaluate their difference in order to recommend a tool that best meets client needs
    • Some SQL query, or similar, experience is helpful
    • Ability to assess data sets from a business objective (cost, value, quality) perspective and to advise on dashboard design and components
    • Ability to work on multiple projects at one time
    • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills – strong oral, written communication and presentations skills
    • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills as they relate to business decision making perspectives
    • Experience in using business rule calculations on data sets to normalize all like-data
    • Strong critical thinking, creative, analytical, and problem-solving skills; ability to quickly and successfully troubleshoot problems in complex BI environments
    • Excellent planning, organization, and time management skills; ability to effectively prioritize tasks with competing deadlines
    • Self-starter and strongly motivated with a can-do-attitude, confidence, and ability to work effectively with little supervision; takes initiative, makes things happen, accepts accountability
    • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships and effectively communicate with all levels of the organization up to and including executive roles
