Wellesley College is an early adopter of business intelligence and data analytics and is a leader in developing a system for student data called WANDA (Wellesley ANalytics Decision support Applications) which has provided the College community ready access to reliable and accurate data. We are looking to hire an individual who is passionate about the strategic use of data and will be an active promoter of the use of the data across the College. This position will play an active role in understanding and supporting the technical aspects of WANDA as well as supporting the faculty and administrative staff who use the system.
This position works with the Senior Engineer who leads the Business Intelligence efforts at the College to understand institutional data and analytical reporting needs in order to design and develop data visualizations and dashboards and respond to ad-hoc data requests from the faculty and staff. This position will develop a strong relationship with the Office of Institutional Research and collaborate with them and other campus partners in the use of WANDA as well as plan and execute continuous improvement.
This position will assist the Senior Engineer in maintaining, supporting, and enhancing the data warehouse architecture, data pipelines, data integrations, data model and as well identifying and troubleshooting data quality issues. The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys working with end users on the front-end of data analytic tools and is excited to further develop their technical ability.
