Business Intelligence Manager manages a business intelligence team centered on providing insight and aiding in business decision-making.     Summary: The Business Development Manager is responsible for cultivating relationships and developing business in the United States & abroad.


    Remote/Hybrid - one week per month at our Thermcraft, Winston Salem, NC location today


    Essential Functions:

    • Collaborate with Internal Sales, Manufacturers reps, and work independently to cultivate new business ventures throughout North America.
    • Establish and nurture ongoing client relationships to instill trust in Thermcraft and uncover new business prospects.
    • Contribute to the development of Business Plan(s) and annual budgets, addressing Sales development in territories, product line plans, market segments, travel plans, etc.
    • Cultivate positive interactions and relationships with internal sales representatives, manufacturers reps, internal team leaders, managers, and executives to convey sales strategy and outcomes.
    • Manage the complete Sales cycle for Prospects and Customers, including regular prospecting, Product presentation, RFQ generation, Proposal development and presentation, contract negotiation, and closure.
    • Prepare reports, presentations, etc., to communicate plans and results to management.
    • Communicate new product developments to prospective customers and territories.
    • Act as a liaison with engineering and manufacturing teams to fulfill clients' needs.
    • Collaborate with partner companies (Alloy Engineering and Mach3 Machining) to leverage corporate strengths and build on each company’s unique attributes.
    • Travel to customer sites and trade events. Participate in industry associations and networking events, with travel accounting for approximately 50% of the role.
    • Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related tasks and serving as backup for other positions when needed/requested.

    Requirements

    Competencies and Attributes Needed:

    · Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications, engineering, or equivalent experience.

    · 5 years of experience in a Business Development role with knowledge of manufacturing and engineering.

    · Ability to conduct market research, identify new opportunities, and prospect new clients.

    · Technical acumen and knowledge, with the ability to discuss specific needs with clients.

    · Excellent negotiation and persuasion skills with a proactive approach to prospecting.

    · Collaborative with strong customer service and communication skills.

    · Self-motivated with robust project management and organizational skills, demonstrating the initiative to manage projects and achieve goals.

    · Proficient in software including Microsoft Office and experienced with CRM systems, with the ability to learn Thermcraft’s internal customer systems.
