Business Intelligence Manager manages a business intelligence team centered on providing insight and aiding in business decision-making. Plans projects to produce reports and perform meaningful quantitative or qualitative analyses addressing impactful business issues or questions. Being a Business Intelligence Manager lends significant subject-matter expertise to enhance projects with insightful takeaways and perspective. Collaborates with project stakeholders to design and plan initiatives, and ensures that business intelligence analysts have the tools, training, and understanding of the field to produce effective dashboards, reports, and metrics. Additionally, Business Intelligence Manager requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director or head of a unit/department. The Business Intelligence Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Business Intelligence Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required. Wyndham Hotels & Resorts is now seeking a Manager, Business Intelligence to join our team at the Parsippany - 22 Sylvan Way location in Parsippany, New Jersey.
Job Summary
Wyndham Hotel Group, LLC, Parsippany, New Jersey. Analyzing user requirements and designing functional specifications for business intelligence (“BI”) applications, including Birst, Python and Tableau; Designing, coding, testing, and documenting all new or modified BI systems, applications and programs; Developing the semantic layer of business intelligence, metadata, reports, and report definitions of key performance indicators; and Troubleshooting BI reports and dashboards.
Salary: $118,809.60/yr. (based on 35 hrs./week).
Education & Experience
Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing Analytics or related field, plus three (3) years of experience in any occupation which includes the required exp./skills. Must also have three (3) years of experience as BI tool Developer; three (3) years of experience with Python; three (3) years of experience with SQL; three (3) years of experience with Data Modelling (designing, coding, testing) and three (3) years of experience with data visualization.
Physical Requirements
May work from home within commuting distance of office (must be in the office a minimum of 3 days per week).
