    Positioned for continued growth, Orca Intelligence is currently hiring for a Product Manager/Business Analyst. We want you to manage the discovery and development of products that delight our customers and leave them wanting more! You will work directly with our technical delivery team and customers to re-design existing and/or build new technology products/solutions. As the author and keeper of the vision for the product, you will be responsible for a product from ideation and the market assessment phase to engineering, testing, and marketing. You will be trained in our Plan, Analyze, and Manage (P.A.M.) process.

    Position Description:

    This position shall be utilized to support multiple digital transformation projects. The ideal candidate will provide the project's business requirements expertise weekly. This includes working with technical and program resources to monitor the progress of delivering system requirements, evaluate the quality of deliverables against business requirements, and assess the quality of use cases, test cases, and system requirements. The candidate will be a BA on the project and partner with program and organization  IT teams to ensure quality software development and product implementation.  The candidate will also perform Project Management activities related to his/her area of involvement.

    The systems are primarily in Custom Code and Low Code environments; hence, the candidate should be familiar with various software platforms, e.g., custom code, Low code, no code, COTS, etc. Orca Intelligence has a Microsoft environment but uses Google Workspace frequently. Candidate must also know SQL, SharePoint, Azure DevOps, etc. The project is expected to modernize several systems. The project will use a hybrid (agile and waterfall) approach to deliver the system. This project involves systems enhancements and ongoing development of a new application, system interfaces, etc. 

    The candidate must have a thorough understanding of the various requirements and be able to work with a marketing team to promote products on an as-needed basis.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:
    The ideal candidate will be able to:
    • Embed Agile Principles into the product management process to guide the team throughout each Release and Sprint.
    • Develop and manage product roadmap as a foundation for release and sprint planning efforts.
    • Prepare user stories using an automatic approach for software development.
    • Address and support the removal of impediments discussed during daily stand-ups.
    • Facilitate backlog refinement sessions, sprint planning sessions, and retrospectives as needed.
    • Manage and associate user stories with data elements, wireframes, business rules, notifications, non-functional requirements, UX requirements, and other supplementary requirements.
    • Formulates and defines systems scope and objectives based on user needs and a thorough understanding of business systems in implementing client ‘s system as per industry standards. 
    • Analyze business and user needs, document requirements, and translate them into proper system requirements specifications.
    • Partner with stakeholders and users. Analyze business and user needs, document requirements, and translate them into proper system requirements specifications.
    • Provides consultation on complex projects and is considered the top-level contributor/specialist of most phases of systems analysis, while considering the business implications of the application of technology to the current and future business environment.
    • Experience with integrating systems with various internal and external systems
    • Works closely with the development team and product owner to accomplish daily tasks.

    Qualifications & Expertise:
    • Expert-level experience in documenting business systems requirements, processes, and flow.
    • 2-5 years of experience aligning IT strategy and planning with the company's business goals.
    • 2-5 years  of experience delivering highly scalable architecture solution that supports mobile and web.
    • 2-5 years of experience in web technologies with mobile app design experience.
    • 2-5 years of experience in data architecture and design.
    • 2-5 years of experience with large, complex data sets.
    • Communication skills, both written and spoken, business-level English mandatory.
    • Strong documentation skills.

    MINIMUM EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
    • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field or equivalent experience or a current Project Management.
    • Master’s degree in IT field or related field (optional).

    • Ability to communicate positively and professionally, both verbally and in writing.
    • Extreme attention to detail.
    • Excellent time management and organizational skills; the ability to manage conflicting priorities and multi-task effectively; and communicate current status and tasks to management.
    • Self-starter able to quickly adapt to new business environments with minimal supervision; strong work ethic and motivated to succeed.
    • Ability to determine proper course or methodology with minimal direction or supervision while at the same time having the judgment to know what and when to escalate.
    • Understanding of federal, state, and local government systems and regulations a plus.
