Business Intelligence Director directs a business intelligence group centered on providing insight and aiding in business decision-making. Oversees the planning of projects to produce reports and perform meaningful quantitative or qualitative analyses addressing impactful business issues or questions. Being a Business Intelligence Director collaborates with other departments to identify and generate potential business intelligence initiatives, and ensures that business intelligence analysts have the tools, training, and understanding of the field to produce effective dashboards, reports, and metrics. - Manage the design, development, and implementation of business intelligence solutions through data analytics.
- Manage cross-functional initiatives on the design, selection, and implementation of business intelligence applications.
- Translate documented project requirements into functional and non-functional specifications for Business Intelligence reports and applications.
- Responsible for the proper execution of corporate and supplier program execution.
- Internal expert for Consumer Insight Analytics and market trends.
- Manage SGWS resources to design multi-dimensional models, including the construction of Data Views and Reports.
- Provide and advise leadership on data-driven solutions addressing business opportunities.
- Create and update project plans to report the progress to all stakeholders.
- Ensure that the use of business intelligence applications enhances business decision-making capabilities.
- Work with and direct the IT project teams on efficient project resolution.
- Create ad-hoc queries & reports as requested and provide on-going analytical support for these requests.

- Identify data quality issues and support the data governance initiative by participating in necessary activities including data profiling.
- Determine testing needed to assure the functionality and integrity of reporting solutions, conduct testing and evaluate testing results recommending and/or taking corrective action as necessary.
- Establish, implement and monitor reporting and documentation standards to ensure uniformity throughout the organization.
- Evaluate and direct the implementation of security models that ensure compliance.
- Configuration and implementation of software upgrades.
- Conduct high-level analytical support for requested reporting.
Additional Primary Responsibilities:Minimum Qualifications- Bachelor s Degree and five years of experience or equivalent education and related experience.
- 5 or more years of experience in Business Intelligence, Business Analytics and/or Sales Forecasting.
- Two years of direct supervisory experience.
Physical Demands- Physical demands include a considerable amount of time sitting and typing/keyboarding, using a computer (e.g., keyboard, mouse, and monitor) or mobile device.
- Physical demands with activity or condition may occasionally include walking, bending, reaching, standing, and stooping.
- May require occasional lifting/lowering, pushing, carrying, or pulling up to 20lbs.
