Business Development Supervisor identifies, evaluates, and pursues business opportunities with partners or potential customers. Coordinates and negotiates with other departments to implement marketing initiatives. Being a Business Development Supervisor is responsible for maintaining close relationship with existing clients. Acquires new customers, retains and expands existing customer relationships. Additionally, Business Development Supervisor develops sales of products and services by investigating and resolving customer problems, recommends modifications to the product/service line, and coordinates sales negotiations with appropriate personnel. Responsible for meeting sales volume and revenue goals and standards for activity, such as number of sales calls. Requires a bachelor's degree in business, finance or marketing. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Business Development Supervisor supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be a Business Development Supervisor typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor.     Overview

    The Business Development Coordinator is responsible for supporting the business development team in all aspects of client acquisition and growth strategies. This includes market research, lead generation, preparing presentations and proposals, coordinating meetings, and maintaining a database of business development materials. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a keen eye for opportunities to increase revenue and enhance the company's market presence.

    Responsibilities

    • Market Research: Conduct detailed market analysis to identify new opportunities, competitive landscape, and industry trends.
    • Lead Generation: Utilize various strategies and tools to generate new leads and potential markets for business expansion.
    • Client Relations: Assist in developing and maintaining strong relationships with potential and existing clients, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and loyalty.
    • Materials Preparation: Create and maintain a repository of business development materials such as presentations, proposals, and contracts.
    • Coordination and Support: Organize meetings, including scheduling, sending reminders, and preparing the necessary materials to support business development activities.
    • Data Management: Maintain accurate records of all business development activities, including client contacts and the status of proposals and negotiations.
    • Reporting: Assist in the preparation of reports on business development activities, outcomes, and ROI analysis.

    Required Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or other related field.
    • 1-3 years of experience in business development, sales, or marketing, preferably in the government contracting space.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Strong organizational and project management skills.
    • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment as well as independently.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
    • A proactive approach to problem-solving with strong decision-making skills.
