Business Development Manager, Sr. manages the daily execution of the business development strategy, plans, and processes to drive sales, increase revenue, expand markets, and accomplish financial objectives. Coaches teams in best practices and effective tactics for prospecting new markets, partners, channels, and customers. Being a Business Development Manager, Sr. establishes team targets and metrics to measure the achievement of objectives. Develops and uses contacts and relationships within the industry, business environment, and customer base to understand and respond to competition, pricing, and product demand changes. Additionally, Business Development Manager, Sr. makes suggestions for new product offerings or improvements to sales or marketing efforts. May administer or negotiate new business proposals and prepare contracts. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Business Development Manager, Sr. typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Business Development Manager, Sr. typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience.   • General Summary:                                                                                                          

    Assists in revenue generation by functioning as the primary contact person for business growth with new home developers, builders, and real estate professionals in the TruVista serving area. Facilitates the process for homeowners in new build and extension areas to connect TruVista services.  Tracks the progress of new build and extension areas and recommends additional marketing efforts or focus as needed.  Works to establish close relationships with real estate agencies and builders in TruVista service areas to establish us as the “go to” provider for all new residents moving into the serving area.  Develops and maintains a “welcome” program in each of the serving areas for new homeowners.   Establishes and maintains contact with the zoning offices in each area to make sure TruVista is aware of all new construction opportunities.   

    Essential Job Functions:

    1.  Competitive Insight Analysis:

      • Conduct comprehensive, ongoing analysis of competitor marketing strategies, product offerings and promotions, pricing strategies, and market positioning vs. TruVista.
      • Create and maintain overlay mapping of competitors vs. TruVista network footprints in TruVista markets. Includes current network footprints and planned network builds
      • Identify key strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats and create SWOT analyses by market to help shape TruVista’s marketing and business development strategies.
      • Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and new competitors that will impact TruVista and make recommendations to proactively adjust TruVista’s marketing approach.

     

    2.  Collaboration with Market Development Managers:

      • Work closely with market development managers to align marketing strategies with regional market dynamics and customer needs to drive incremental revenue growth.
      • Provide market insights and competitive analysis to support market development initiatives.
      • Help identify new build opportunities that exploit gaps or weaknesses in competitor market coverage to drive incremental revenue growth.
      • Collaborate on and support the development and execution of marketing campaigns, promotions, and product launches.

     

    3.  Strategic Planning and Execution:

      • Develop and execute marketing and business development plans to achieve TruVista’s revenue growth objectives.
      • Identify and prioritize target market segments, channels, and customer segments for marketing initiatives.
      • Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and business development efforts.

    4.  Net Promoter Score (NPS) Program Management and Analysis:

      • Develop and implement strategies to measure and improve Net Promoter Score (NPS) across TruVista’s customer base.
      • Analyze NPS data to identify trends, customer pain points, and areas for improvement.
      • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address customer feedback and enhance customer satisfaction.


    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:                                                               

    • Minimum of three years telecommunications experience
    • Proficient knowledge of telecommunication products and services including video, voice, internet, and home automation/home security. 
    • Must be able to work accurately with various office equipment such as personal computer, software programs, telephone systems and related business processes
    • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are required.        Ability to communicate effectively with customers, co-workers, and various business contacts in a professional and courteous manner.  
    • Skilled in sales and persuasion techniques.
    • Exceptional ability to plan, organize and prioritize multiple work assignments
    • Ability to interpret information and make sound decisions using information at hand.  Must be able to work efficiently with or without supervision 
    • Must be a team player  
    • Must maintain superior attendance and promptness.


     Education and Experience:     

    Four-year college degree required.  Must be proficient in Microsoft office suite.  Knowledge of mapping software. Comfortable learning new software platforms. 


    Working Conditions:

    Good working conditions in an office environment.   May be required to travel to other market areas, possibly overnight.  May be required to work an occasional weekend or evening depending on the needs of the business.  Must have reliable transportation, possess valid driver’s license and have a good driving record.
