Business Development Manager, Sr. manages the daily execution of the business development strategy, plans, and processes to drive sales, increase revenue, expand markets, and accomplish financial objectives. Coaches teams in best practices and effective tactics for prospecting new markets, partners, channels, and customers. Being a Business Development Manager, Sr. establishes team targets and metrics to measure the achievement of objectives. Develops and uses contacts and relationships within the industry, business environment, and customer base to understand and respond to competition, pricing, and product demand changes. Additionally, Business Development Manager, Sr. makes suggestions for new product offerings or improvements to sales or marketing efforts. May administer or negotiate new business proposals and prepare contracts. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Business Development Manager, Sr. typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Business Development Manager, Sr. typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience.         • Identify And Prioritize Key Target Markets, Additional New Verticals, That Will Help You And The Company Grow By Adding New Membership.
        • Develop Targeted Campaigns And Initiatives To Drive Lead Generation And Conversion. The Creative Team Can Develop And Support You Here.
      • Team Relationship Management
        • Cultivate And Maintain Strong Collaboration With Your Fellow Team Members In Your Territory To Ensure New Member Satisfaction And Retention.
        • Proactively Handing Off New Member To MBM For Professional On boarding Process.
        • Serve As The Secondary Only Point Of Contact For Escalations, To Help With Timely Resolution And Member Satisfaction.
      • New Business Acquisition
        • Prospect, Cold Call, And Network To Generate New Business Leads And Opportunities.
        • Qualify Leads And Opportunities To Ensure Alignment With Company Objectives And Capabilities.
        • Develop Compelling Proposals, Presentations, Delivery Approaches And Closing Techniques To Secure New Members.
      • Vendor Partnership Development
        • Identify And Pursue Strategic Vendor Partnerships, Alliances, And Collaborations To Expand Your Opportunities And Network
    Qualifications:
    • Proven experience in a business development role and / or sales related field - Minimum 5 yrs. experience.
    • Examples of meeting or exceeding sales targets and goals.
    • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills (because in this role, communication is KEY)
    • The ability to flourish in a fast-paced environment.
    • Familiarity with Salesforce software and Microsoft Office Suite preferred.
    • Self-motivated and results-driven – Must be a TEAM Player with the ability to also work independently.
    • Must be willing to travel up to 75% - required Overnight Hotels Stays in appropriate territory.
    • Convention Show Travel is required.
