We are seeking an experienced Business Development/Capture Manager to play a pivotal role in our dynamic team. Beyond a diverse skill set in business development and capture, we are looking for someone with comprehensive business acumen, technical expertise, resourcefulness, strong business relationships, and a strategic mindset to drive growth. Reporting directly to DDC's Vice President of Strategic Growth, Federal Civilian Market, the Senior BD/Capture Manager will collaborate closely with our FedCiv Team to make a strategic impact on our market expansion efforts.

    Job Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Manage and execute the full BD life-cycle process across multiple simultaneous pursuits and proposals, thriving in a dynamic environment.
    • Demonstrate expertise in all aspects of business development, including opportunity qualification, capture strategy, customer engagement, relationship building, competitive analysis, LOE development, pricing strategy, and teaming efforts.
    • Support Pipeline Development/Opportunity identification initiatives to identify and qualify potential business opportunities.
    • Plan and lead capture activities, such as opportunity gate reviews, black hat sessions, collaboration workshops, and proposal reviews, to ensure effective strategy development and execution.
    • Lead competitive assessments, teaming efforts, and price-to-win analyses to position the company for success in competitive procurements.
    • Manage capture pursuits, ensuring adherence to cost and schedule, while effectively communicating status updates to leadership.
    • Provide support throughout the proposal development process, including strategy development, win theme identification, solution development, writing, scheduling, staffing, pricing, past performance, and resume preparation.
    • Utilize BD market intelligence accounts and subscriptions, such as GovWin, FPDS, USASpending, G2Xchange, and agency/prime contractor vendor portals, to gather relevant market information and inform decision-making.
    • Conduct after-action reviews for all business opportunity capture participants, documenting lessons learned and identifying necessary adjustments to capture techniques, strategies, and actions.
    • Engage in industry events and networking activities, actively participating in Industry days, conferences, and other relevant events to stay informed about industry trends, network with potential clients and partners, and gather market intelligence to support acquisition strategies.
    • Provide support for other assigned business development activities as needed.

    Job Requirements (Education/Skills/Experience):

    • Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of relevant experience; additional experience considered in lieu of a degree.
    • Prior experience as a business development and capture manager, with a focus on supporting Federal Civilian customers, particularly the Department of Labor and USDA.
    • Ability to pass a standard background check.
    • Ability to conceptualize winning visions and develop strategic capture plans that align with organizational objectives, adjusting strategies as procurement processes unfold.
    • Leadership skills to orchestrate significant capture activities, including team building, win probability assessment, and customer engagement strategies.
    • Proven track record in penetrating new markets and cultivating relationships with key stakeholders.
    • Experience in technical writing and proposal development is advantageous.
    • Strong verbal communication skills with a demonstrated ability to brief internal stakeholders effectively.
    • Willingness to travel, estimated up to 25% annually, as necessary.
    • Exceptional organizational and project management abilities.
    • Expertise in leading customer engagements and strategic pursuits, with a deep understanding of Federal government procurement processes.
    • Success in developing relationships with IT service partners and identifying qualified teaming partners.
    • Capability to manage full lifecycle capture management, from opportunity identification to proposal execution.
    • Strong decision-making skills, particularly in assessing business opportunities.
    • Proficiency in analytical presentation, communication, and problem-solving.
    • Experience contributing to and writing winning proposals and responses to Federal solicitations.
    • Awareness of information technology trends and their relevance to the Federal Government.
    • Ability to evaluate company and subcontractor past performance to enhance award potential.
    • Efficient multitasking abilities in a deadline-driven environment.
    • Proven capability to build collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders across the organization.
    • Proficiency in creating, editing, and providing inputs for proposal content.
    • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Professional Suite.
    • Experience with TEAMS is a plus.
