Business Development Director - Biotech supports top management by providing analysis for evaluating new business opportunities such as in/out licensing, collaborative research and development agreements, joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions. Oversees business development activities through subordinate managers. Being a Business Development Director - Biotech requires an MBA and at least 5 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Additionally, Business Development Director - Biotech relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Leads and directs the work of others.     As our Director of Business Development, you will be responsible for strategically developing and managing the sales team across the Hermetics division to achieve company sales goals, increase customer retention, improve customer satisfaction and have a direct impact on Winchester’s revenue goals. You will grow the business through new business opportunities, and through gaining market share for existing business. The Director of Business Development will work closely with the leadership team, the business development managers within the Hermetics division and the customer service team members to produce winning results. This role requires someone who is gifted with both a strategic and process-oriented mindset. The Director of Business Development must be comfortable with technical discussions and collaborating with engineering teams. 


    Qualifications & Requirements:

    • A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, marketing or related field; MBA a plus
    • A minimum of 8  years experience in sales and marketing
    • A minimum of 5 years supervisory experience 
    • Experience in a manufacturing environment
    • Experience with Visual ERP system a plus

    How will you Collaborate?

    You will collaborate across the Winchester team. You will work with Engineering, Operations, and the Corporate Sales and Marketing Teams in a way that leads by example, holds people accountable, and utilizes data to make informed decisions. Actively participating on behalf of both internal and external customers on NPI projects, Quoting, Engineering requirements, Contract reviews, RMA’s, Car’s, production, and general customer service.

    • Identify target customers and predictable opportunities that fit our core technologies we should support for long term organic growth
    • Empower others, delegate authority, assign responsibilities and improve communication with the internal and external teams
    • Develop pricing strategies and tools that support short and long term EBITDA goals
    • Ensure the sales team fully utilizes SalesForce
