Business Continuity Manager leads the implementation and supports the development of a comprehensive business continuity strategy and programs, plans, and toolsets that support response, develop resiliency, and enable recovery from events that disrupt business operations. Establishes a framework and methodology to manage all business continuity life cycle activities, including risk assessment, business impact analysis, strategy development, implementation, testing and review, plan maintenance and updates. Being a Business Continuity Manager leads periodic review, validation, and workflow testing of documented business continuity plans. Develops and implements organization-wide training and communications. Additionally, Business Continuity Manager supports internal audits and regulatory exams of compliance with required regulations. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. May require the Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP) or similar BCP certification. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Business Continuity Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Business Continuity Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required. POSITION DESCRIPTION:
We are seeking an IT business analyst who has solid experience with infrastructure Disaster Recovery / Business Continuity projects in large enterprises. In this role, you will apply business analysis methodologies and leverage your knowledge of enterprise IT infrastructure platforms to solve complex technical problems and develop innovative solutions to enhance disaster recovery capabilities. You will be working with highly experienced technical teams and advanced technical principles, theories, and concepts.

Requirements
NON-TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to pass a 7 year background check and be able to obtain a US Public Trust
- Must be located within 2 hours of travel from Baltimore, MD
- Critical thinking, problem solving and ability to work independently or collaboratively as required.
- Strong written and oral communication skills including the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical/business stakeholders and conversely, communicate business information to a technical audience.
MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS:
- Bachelor’s Degree (in a technical or mathematical discipline) and 8 years of professional working experience (or 6 years of experience with a Master’s Degree).
- Must have at least 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst with a specific concentration in Disaster Recovery & Business Continuity.
- Must have at least 5 years of experience in designing and building business processes.
- Must have at least 3 years of experience with process flow documentation creation.
- Must have experience of the Agile software development practices.
- Must have experience in infrastructure platforms.
DESIRED REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS:
- Experience with ServiceNow Business Continuity Management (BCM) and/or ServiceNow Integrated Risk Management (IRM) modules.
- ServiceNow Certification.
- Experience working in Federal or local government organizations.
