Business Continuity Manager leads the implementation and supports the development of a comprehensive business continuity strategy and programs, plans, and toolsets that support response, develop resiliency, and enable recovery from events that disrupt business operations. Establishes a framework and methodology to manage all business continuity life cycle activities, including risk assessment, business impact analysis, strategy development, implementation, testing and review, plan maintenance and updates. Being a Business Continuity Manager leads periodic review, validation, and workflow testing of documented business continuity plans. Develops and implements organization-wide training and communications. Additionally, Business Continuity Manager supports internal audits and regulatory exams of compliance with required regulations. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. May require the Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP) or similar BCP certification. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. Spirit AeroSystems has initiated a Global Business Continuity Management (BCM) program, the goal of which is to design, develop and integrate a sustainable corporate resilience capability that will enable the business to effectively respond to and mitigate potential disruptions to its operations. The overall responsibility for the program rests with the Enterprise Risk Management / Business Continuity team reporting directly to Strategy & Acquisitions.
Reporting to the BCM Program Manager, the Coordinator/Analyst is expected to integrate and maintain a core set of best practices and initiatives utilizing a continuous improvement plan, while monitoring and prioritizing changing business needs and resource availability. The BCM Coordinator/Analyst will collaborate with identified site coordinators, focals, and BC plan owners at each company location.
The BCM Coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day maintenance of the BC plans, tools management, training and awareness, plan testing, and compliance. As a key member of the team, the BCM Coordinator will play an integral role in the development and execution of the site BC plan development.
