Business Continuity Manager leads the implementation and supports the development of a comprehensive business continuity strategy and programs, plans, and toolsets that support response, develop resiliency, and enable recovery from events that disrupt business operations. Establishes a framework and methodology to manage all business continuity life cycle activities, including risk assessment, business impact analysis, strategy development, implementation, testing and review, plan maintenance and updates. Being a Business Continuity Manager leads periodic review, validation, and workflow testing of documented business continuity plans. Develops and implements organization-wide training and communications. Additionally, Business Continuity Manager supports internal audits and regulatory exams of compliance with required regulations. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. May require the Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP) or similar BCP certification. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Business Continuity Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Business Continuity Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required. Job Descriptions
The business Continuity Analyst will work in coordination with the Business Continuity Manager to support the enterprise-wide Crisis Management and Business Continuity program.
Responsibilities- Assist the Business Continuity Manager in conducting Walkthrough exercises of all Business Continuity plans, including Business Impact Analyses and Business Resumption Plan reviews
- Ensure that Business Impact Analysis results are properly documented and communicated
- Assess Third-Party vendors and their ability to recover and resume services within the contractually acceptable timeframe and in accordance with established Recovery Time Objective’s and Recovery Point Objectives for the associated business process(es)
- Develop, revise, and maintain program-related documentation including training materials, policies, and procedures
- Support in the development and execution of business continuity exercises
- Provide administrative support to Crisis Response teams as needed and directed
Skills & Qualifications
- College Degree or other related field and/or equivalent work experience
- Business Continuity and/or Crisis Management experience
- Working knowledge of Business Impact Analysis and Business Resumption Plan development and management
- Strong written and oral communication skills ·
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently
