Description
Business Application Specialist provides technical support for a subset of business systems applications. They will function as a Subject Matter Expert in each software application that the company utilizes in both technical aspects and user experience. Provides assistance in one or all areas of application set up and configuration that includes integrations, testing, design, and analysis. This role assists in the formulation of procedures and best practices for users of applications.
This role will be responsible for developing and maintaining comprehensive documentation for supported applications, including user manuals, FAQs, best practices and troubleshooting guides. They may also be responsible for training end-users and IT staff on how to use and support the applications effectively. Identifying opportunities for improving application performance, usability, and support processes. This may involve gathering feedback from users, analyzing support ticket trends, and working with internal IT teams to integrate with other platforms.
They will be participating in, or leading projects related to the upgrade, replacement, or deployment of new applications. This includes planning, execution, and stakeholder management. Working closely with other IT teams, such as network, security, and database administrators, to ensure applications are integrated and supported within the broader IT infrastructure.
This role requires a combination of deep technical knowledge, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. It's also important for the Business Application Specialist to stay updated on new technologies and industry best practices to continuously improve the support and performance of applications.
