Business Application Delivery Director directs and leads an organization's business application delivery department. Improves operational processes and supports critical business strategies by directing the development, implementation, and maintenance of application systems. Being a Business Application Delivery Director enhances operations by establishing metrics, analyzing processes, and implementing standard methodologies, tools, and best practices to ensure high-quality deliverables. Formulates business application architecture plans, estimates costs, and ensures projects meet strategic needs. Additionally, Business Application Delivery Director establishes policies and procedures that ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations and support efficient operations. Leads and develops a team of business application delivery programmers with training in the best practices and technologies. A successful candidate will have demonstrated leadership capabilities including the ability to create and sustain building-wide and district-wide systems for instructional support. They act as a key contributor in creating, implementing, and supporting instructional programs for deeper learning PK-12. They work closely with every department to ensure quality technology integration, both instructional and operational. The Assistant Director of Technology will engage in processes to minimize lost learning time by supporting technology personnel in the department’s daily, tactical operations. They will also keep the Director of Technology appraised of specific, ongoing technology challenges within the district. Indivuals that meet the following requirements will be considered for this position:
Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems or Business Administration preferred
A minimum of five (5) years work experience supporting educational technology in a PK-12 public school district assuming progressively greater responsibilities
Strong understanding of the installation, configuration, and maintenance of enterprise-class networking systems & protocols, including wired and wireless standards 802.1x/ac/ax
Experience with server operating systems and supported services including Windows Server, Linux, etc.
Experience with technology work order systems and managing a technology helpdesk
Experience with data management and system interoperability
An understanding of multi-tiered cyber security and zero trust technology environments
Experience working on projects in a large, multi-site organization with greater than 300 users.
Formal training related to items 1 through 8 above.
Such alternatives to the preceding education and experience as the Board of Education may find appropriate and acceptable.
