Duties:
- Safely operate a delivery vehicle, such as a box truck or refrigerated trailer, to transport goods to designated locations
- Load and unload goods from the vehicle using appropriate equipment, such as a forklift
- Follow delivery schedules and routes to ensure timely and efficient deliveries
- Communicate with customers to confirm delivery details and address any concerns or issues
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including proof of delivery documents
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safe operation
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations during deliveries
- Provide exceptional customer service by delivering goods in a professional and courteous manner
Experience:
- Previous experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role is preferred
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and procedures is a plus
- Ability to drive both manual transmission vehicles and larger trucks is required
- Excellent communication skills to interact with customers and team members effectively
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to ensure accurate record keeping
- Ability to operate a forklift or willingness to learn is desirable
- Knowledge of courier services and routes in the local area is an advantage
