Business Application Delivery Director directs and leads an organization's business application delivery department. Improves operational processes and supports critical business strategies by directing the development, implementation, and maintenance of application systems. Being a Business Application Delivery Director enhances operations by establishing metrics, analyzing processes, and implementing standard methodologies, tools, and best practices to ensure high-quality deliverables. Formulates business application architecture plans, estimates costs, and ensures projects meet strategic needs. Additionally, Business Application Delivery Director establishes policies and procedures that ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations and support efficient operations. Leads and develops a team of business application delivery programmers with training in the best practices and technologies. Uses knowledge of the field to keep the department's software, techniques, and tools up to date. Manages resource planning and decision-making. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to senior/top management. The Business Application Delivery Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be a Business Application Delivery Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience.     About AWBC:

    The Association of Women’s Business Centers (AWBC) is a national non-profit 501(c)(3) organization founded in 1998. The AWBC works to secure economic justice and entrepreneurial opportunities for women by supporting and sustaining a national network of over 150 Women’s Business Centers (WBC’s) by:

    • Training and mentoring WBC leaders to expand organizational capacity and effectiveness.
    • Advocating on behalf of Women’s Business Centers to ensure that elected officials and stakeholders recognize and support the important and growing role of women-owned businesses in our economy and to sustain federal funding targeted specifically to women’s needs.
    • Working closely with the Small Business Administration (SBA) to improve processes and procedures to help WBCs function more efficiently and effectively.

    Job Summary: The Director of Entrepreneurial Programs is responsible for the following:

    • Design and oversee national and regional entrepreneurial services and programs, including one-on-one coaching, accelerator and incubator programs, and referral network operations
    • Facilitate entrepreneurial classes and provide individualized coaching for women entrepreneurs who want to start or expand a small business, including providing assistance with obtaining capital, maintaining strong relationships with banks and microlenders business ideas.
    • Manage daily operations of entrepreneurial program development and delivery
    • Work with AWBC CEO and VP, Board of Directors, and Committee members to set direction for program strategies, work plans, and objectives.
    • Accurately track program and service deliverables in Salesforce, ensuring data integrity and capturing of impacts
    • Effectively manage and enhance relationships with key national entrepreneurial resource partners, foundations, lenders, and national brands
    • Quickly learn to navigate the myriad of contacts and organizations that are AWBC’s stakeholders
    • Communicate professionally with funders, members, contractors, vendors, team members and the general public
    • Monitor program quality by creating and implementing systems for program evaluation
    • Coordinate and prepare required programmatic reports and expense requests
    • Represent AWBC at regional and national summits and educational opportunities
    • Support AWBC team members with other tasks, as assigned

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in management, marketing, business administration or related field
    • 5 years experience in small business ownership, management, or support
    • Tech savvy- proficiency with google suite, canva, social media, CRM systems
    • Organized and detail-oriented with the ability to create project plans and work a project from start to finish
    • Enjoys making projects run smoothly, on time and on budget
    • Strong oral, written and interpersonal skills
    • Flexible schedule to work early mornings or evenings, if/when necessary
    • Ability to travel 15-25% of the time, if necessary
