Business Analytics Manager manages and oversees business analytics projects and processes to provide data-driven insights related to business performance used to advise and develop strategies for operational improvements and future business initiatives. Utilizes KPIs, business performance data, industry trends, competitor intelligence, and customer information to develop analytical tools, reports, and models across the organization to inform and support decision-making. Being a Business Analytics Manager consults with stakeholders to understand the business model, objectives, issues, and challenges that analytics can support. Develops standards and collection processes to support robust analytics and reporting data pipelines. Additionally, Business Analytics Manager builds teams with statistical methods, modeling, analytical methodologies, and data analysis skills to support the business. Requires a bachelor's degree in finance, statistics or a quantitative field. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Business Analytics Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions.     POSITION SUMMARY:

    We're a leader in the pet care category and part of the world's largest food company-so you can imagine our salesforce is BIG. In pet care, we focus our sales efforts within the retail and veterinary sales channels to ensure we're at the forefront of consumers' minds. You'll become the expert in our products and the face behind Purina brands to your customers-some of the most well recognized and loved brands around world.

    As the Business Development Manager, you'll provide thought leadership, strategy development, and execution around the Purina 4P (Price, Promotion, Product, Place) strategies within Pet Specialty environments to develop go-to-market solutions that drive competitive advantage. The opportunity to work cross-functionally with Sales Hub and Supply Chain, among others, will enable you to identify and manage areas of opportunity, optimizations in current ordering/forecasting process and a strategic path forward, leveraging strong cross-functional communication skills to reach goals.

    • Lead development, improvement, and execution of the forecast process
    • Develop business cases for new and different ways to drive the business that align to NPPC strategies and connect with retailer capabilities
    • Utilize data and category insights to build stronger selling stories to drive the business
    • Lead the onboarding and development of the Business Analyst team
    • Partner with Sales Leadership to design and structure strategic business engagements i.e. customer planning sessions & internal planning
    • Monitor best practices and emerging capabilities (internally and externally) to integrate into teams as appropriate

    Requirements
    • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
    • 3 years of experience in account management, digital category development, business analytics or marketing
    • 1 years advanced experience with PowerBi, PowerPoint, Microsoft Excel (utilizing formulas, pivot tables, and VLOOKUP)

    Other
    • Experience with syndicated and shopper data (Nielsen, IRI, Retail Link, VIQ, CKB, RSI, etc)
    • Ability to travel up to 30%

    The approximate pay range for this position is $100,000 to $140,000. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting.
