Job Description: We are currently seeking a reliable and compassionate Non-Emergency Medical Transport Driver to join our team. As a Non-Emergency Medical Transport Driver, you will be responsible for transporting patients to and from medical appointments, hospitals, clinics, and other medical facilities. You will be required to operate a wheelchair accessible vehicle and assist patients with entering and exiting the vehicle as needed. In addition, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and comfort of our patients during transportation.
Responsibilities: Provide safe and reliable transportation to patients to and from medical appointments, hospitals, clinics, and other medical facilities. Assist patients with entering and exiting the vehicle as needed, including operating a wheelchair lift. Ensure that all necessary medical equipment is safely secured and transported with the patient. Maintain accurate records of all trips, including mileage and patient information. Maintain a clean and safe working environment in the vehicle. Communicate effectively with patients and medical professionals. Follow all safety procedures and regulations while operating the vehicle.
Requirements: Must be at least 21 years old and have a valid driver’s license. . Must have a high school diploma or equivalent. Must have a professional and compassionate attitude towards patients and their families. Must be able to operate a wheelchair accessible vehicle and assist patients with entering and exiting the vehicle. Must be able to lift and carry medical equipment as needed. Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
