Building and Grounds Supervisor supervises and trains building and grounds maintenance staff. Oversees landscaping activities, the maintenance of sidewalks and parking areas, and the removal of trash and snow. Being a Building and Grounds Supervisor maintains and monitors the operation of all utility systems such as heating, ventilating and air conditioning. May be responsible for the housekeeping staff. Additionally, Building and Grounds Supervisor, a level I supervisor is considered a working supervisor with little authority for personnel actions. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Working team member that may validate or coordinate the work of others on a support team. Suggests improvements to process, is a knowledge resource for other team members. Has no authority for staff actions. Generally has a minimum of 2 years experience as an individual contributor. Located in the Twin Cities metropolitan area, Adler Graduate School offers master’s degrees and certificate programs in art therapy, counseling, and human services. We are looking for the right candidate to join our team as the Building and Grounds Supervisor. Located just off Shady Oak and Hwy 62 it’s a convenient location and has a spacious and open grounds. this is an onsite position, with possibility of occasional after hours consulting in emergencies. We have a traditional 30,000 square foot facility which includes classrooms, offices, and common spaces. The grounds consist of several acres with a large outdoor wooded area. This position has potential to become a full-time member of the leadership team if the right candidate is found.
This position would be responsible for leading overall building and grounds upkeep, maintenance, project management, and specific operational efficiencies related to building and grounds maintenance.
