Being a Building and Grounds Supervisor maintains and monitors the operation of all utility systems such as heating, ventilating and air conditioning. May be responsible for the housekeeping staff. Additionally, Building and Grounds Supervisor, a level I supervisor is considered a working supervisor with little authority for personnel actions. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. We are looking for a Grounds Project Manage for a Cemetery federal contract in San Diego California. The manager will oversee the maintenance of landscape, mulch beds, gardens, roadways, parking lots, sidewalks, and others as directed. Provide all lawn mowing ad general turf care. Trimming and care of trees, shrubs, and other plant materials.

By possessing these knowledge, skills, and abilities, the cemetery manager can effectively oversee all aspects of cemetery operations, including grounds maintenance, budget management, and staff supervision, while maintaining a compassionate and respectful approach in all interactions.
Some duties include but are not limited to:
Payroll
-Gathering time cards twice per month ensure each is signed by the employee and add the time cards hours.
-Make necessary corrections and resubmit as requested
-Training new and current employees (materials provided)
-Prepare and perform monthly Safety and Preventative Training (materials provided)
-Ensure all proper paperwork is filled out with new employees-
-Ensure all proper paperwork is completed with exiting employees
-Indicate and communicate training opportunities and assist in presenting appropriate training
Operations
- On-Site Inspections
- Ensure proper paperwork and recording is performed with each site inspection
- Follow up with deficiencies to ensure it is corrected; deficiencies may need to be performed by self.
- Scheduling if employees
- Cover open shifts appropriately with staff- Update individual staff schedules as appropriate to changes necessary
Administration
- Ensure all documentation is performed and appropriately filed
- Track usage of supplies (both office and site-wide)
