Job Summary:
The substitute classroom teacher will serve as classroom teacher for students in grades 6 to 8 and will create a flexible program and environment favorable to learning and personal growth in accordance with each student's ability.
Qualifications
- Must be an approved permitted substitute teacher through EduStaff
- Experience teaching at the middle school level, preferrable in math
- Experience working with special needs students in regular education classroom
- Experience working with special education teachers and paraprofessionals
- Knowledge of differentiated instruction to meet various student needs present in the classroom
- Experience with and/or ability to team teach and flexibly group students with grade level peers
- Strong organization, classroom management and collaboration & communication skills
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with district staff and the public
- Ability to assume responsibility, display initiative, and exercise good judgment
- Proficient computer and document skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
