Building Maintenance Technician

  • JOB SUMMARY:
    Performs building inspections, HES audits and general facility maintenance repairs at the Enon SSC office complex and other offsite corporate office facilities. Coordinates and executes basic space planning initiatives. Utilizes hand and power tools in addition to specialized equipment to complete assigned work tasks. Interacts with third party contractors to address various building concerns/issues.

    KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
    • Performs basic maintenance service and repairs in the areas of plumbing, carpentry, painting and electrical. Completes various maintenance requests from office personnel, including but not limited to: furniture relocations, workspace remodeling, carpet replacement, painting, furniture repair and HVAC control.
    • Performs daily building inspections at the Enon SSC office complex; inspects and addressess all issues, including but not limited to; egress, lighting, equipment and system checks as well as general facility appearances.
    • Assists in construction and/or reconfiguration initiatives involving facility remodeling projects of private office and cubicle workstations. Works with external business partners to ensure that all areas of the facilities operate correctly and efficiently. Orders material and supply items as necessary.
    • Participates in facilities project work during business and non-business hours. Responds to facilities related emergencies during non-business hours as necessary. Completes other duties, including special projects, as assigned by Management.
    • Provides maintenance team support to various out of state corporate office facilities (which includes intermittent trips to these locations to accomplish various facilities audit and maintenance related tasks.)
    • Provides direct maintenance support for all corporate held events and programs (to include setup and teardown of all furniture and related equipment as well as general cleanup activities after event/program conclusion.
    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
    EDUCATION: High School/GED
    YEARS OF RELEVANT WORK EXPERIENCE: 3 years
    YEARS OF MANAGEMENT EXPERIENCE: NA CERTIFICATIONS / LICENSES: NA

    SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
    • Demonstrated expertise with Word, Excel and other MS Office suite applications.
    • Solid understanding of basic equipment maintenance.
    • Ability to multi-task and troubleshoot problems.
    • Ability to operate hand and power tools in addition to special equipment to complete work assignments.
    • Able to perform repeated bending, standing and reaching. Ability to occasionally lift up to 40 pounds.
