Budgeting Supervisor oversees the review of expenditures and preparation of operating budgets for various departments to ensure conformance to budgetary limits. Facilitates the analysis of overruns/underruns, actual spending and revenue, and prepares a variety of statistical reports. Being a Budgeting Supervisor may require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Working team member that may validate or coordinate the work of others on a support team. Suggests improvements to process, is a knowledge resource for other team members. Has no authority for staff actions. Generally has a minimum of 2 years experience as an individual contributor.     The Director, Finance & Budgeting is a multi-dimensional role in which responsibilities include providing operational accounting, financial reporting and analysis for network level team members and multiple school locations.

    Financial Reporting & Analytics
    • Build budgets, and financial planning
    • Prepare and reviews Financial Statements and reports financial findings to key leadership and principals
    • Prepares all financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, Board reports, tax returns, and governmental agency reports
    • Present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements to executives and board of directors
    • Compares financial projections to actual figures and budgeted expenses to actual expenses; makes or oversees any necessary adjustments to future projections and budgets
    • Identify cost saving opportunities
    • Create and monitor financial dashboards for each campus
    • Monitor bank activity and cash flow
    • Manages vendor contracts


    District Financial Partnerships
    • Serve as a financial liaison with partnering school districts to ensure operating compliance and proper funding
    • Attend federal funding compliance meetings
    • Create federal funding compliance reports for districts


    Requirements
    • Bachelor’s Degree with 5 years of related experience or a combination of education and related experience equivalent to at least 7 years total
    • Background in school operations/finance preferred
    • Background in accounting/finance, non-profit setting preferred
    • Thorough knowledge and understanding of GAAP
    • Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger
    • Fund accounting experience preferred
    • Refined organizational skills, ability to multi-task and extreme attention to detail
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Suite applications including Word and Excel
    • Experience with Blackbaud Financial Edge and Workday preferred
    • Must maintain a cooperative, approachable team-oriented attitude
    • Flexible schedule determinant upon business demand
    • Confidentiality relative to all aspects of our businesses

    $60,000 - $75,000 a year
    The salary for this position is competitive and commensurate with experience, ranging from $60,000 to $75000 annually. Additionally, Meeting Street Schools offers a comprehensive benefits package including and not limited to:
