Experience: Two years of experience in accounting experience at a high level of responsibility
Position Function/Purpose
Oversees all aspects of the budget planning and implementation process.
Major Responsibilities
1. Assist the Chief Finance Officer and Director of Finance in the coordination and
development of the annual budget.
2. Monitor Board reported funds on a periodic (at least monthly) basis ensuring compliance
with established policies, procedures, and budget limitations.
3. Prepare budget transfers and amendments as needed for Board approval.
4. Serve as primary Finance liaison to budget managers providing analytical information to
assist them in the budget management process. Train and provide support to budget
managers regarding financial and compliance requirements.
5. Provide support on long-term budgetary planning and costs management in alignment
with MISD's strategic priorities.
6. Oversee budgeting and the implementation of budgets to monitor progress and present
financial metrics both internally and externally.
7. Assist the Chief Finance Officer in forecasting budgetary scenarios. Develop a reliable
projection process and reporting mechanism to meet operating needs.
8. Engage the Chief Finance Officer and other MISD Leadership around issues, trend, and
changes in the MISD operating model and operational delivery. Assist in establishing
yearly objectives and meeting agendas.
9. Perform other duties as may be assigned by the Chief Finance Officer, or as may
be necessary for job efficiency and effectiveness.
