Job Opening Summary

Facilitates resource allocation and program investment decisions by providing financial modeling, analysis and recommendations to the Core Services Vice President and Director or to the administrators/directors of assigned facilities. Prepares financial recommendations to support management decision making in order to improve hospitals' operating margins. Is proficient with all budget department applications, and provides training and support to operational and Core Services departments and other analysts as needed.

This is a hybrid position and includes some remote and some on-site scheduling.

Job Opening Qualifications

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:

• Professional: Bachelor's degree in business administration (with concentration in accounting or finance preferred).
• Minimum of three to five years of experience in financial management.
  • An advanced degree in related area may substitute for experience.
• A strong proficiency for applications that operate on mainframes, client servers and PCs.

Motor Vehicle Operator Designation:

• Employees in this position will operate vehicles for an assigned business purpose as a non-frequent driver.

NOTE: A frequent driver is defined as one who uses his/her personal or Shands automobile a) at least once daily, b) at least five individual trips per week or c) drives, on average, over 150 miles per week in the performance of his/her job.
