    Job SummaryThe Agent/Broker Representative develops and maintains relationships with key agents and brokers and assists them with all marketing-related functions to promote growth and retention of Enterprise products within their assigned regions.

    Requirements

    EDUCATION

    Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, Marketing or related field. In lieu of degree, five (5) years' sales experience, preferably in an insurance industry, will be considered.

    LICENSING/CERTIFICATION

    Valid driver's license with the ability to travel, as necessary, within the designated service area required.

    State Insurance (Arkansas Life and Disability Insurance) License within three (3) months of hire.

    Professional Academy of Healthcare Management, Fellow Academy of Healthcare Management, Certified Health Consultant, Certified Life Underwriter, or other AHIP designation preferred.

    EXPERIENCE
    Minimum three (3) years' sales experience with a proven sales record.

    Experience in health insurance, life insurance, or managed care preferred.

    ESSENTIAL SKILLS & ABILITIES

    Excellent written and oral communication skills with the proven ability to make a formal marketing presentation. Incumbent must make presentation to the interview panel as prerequisite for further consideration.
    Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including PowerPoint, Word and Excel.

    ***This is a flex role, based in Northwest Arkansas. The selected candidate will be expected to office in our Springdale location***

    ResponsibilitiesIndustry/Company Knowledge: Displays a thorough knowledge of Enterprise products and resources-including group health insurance, group dental insurance, individual products (under 65 and over 65), group term life/LTD insurance, work site products, and other products and services available through our affiliates-in order to continually bring value to key agents and brokers. Also maintains a thorough knowledge of the broader industry, major trends and innovations, and competitors operating within various market segments., Other duties: As assigned., Relationship Building: Develops long-term relationships with key agents and brokers through communication, education, assistance, and support which is critical to generating new business and retaining existing business., Sales and Marketing: Responsible for direct sales of all Enterprise products when directed and in specific sales geographies., Training and Assisting Agents/Brokers: Trains agents, producers, brokers, and their support staffs about our product offerings, benefits, value propositions, and sales strategies on a regular basis. Assists key agents in developing sales plans to meet Arkansas Blue Cross production goals. Assists key agents and brokers with a variety of marketing functions, including securing information for proposals, analysis of financial and utilization reporting, coordinating enrollment activities, negotiating benefit changes, and selling group renewals. Supports key agents and brokers in making presentations to clients and prospects. Procures and coordinates resources from different parts of the Enterprise to assist key agents. Monitors and reports sales and renewal progress to the key agents and brokers., Travel: Travels within the sales territory with occasional overnight stays, estimated 75%. At least half of the work in this job is conducted outside of the office and requires a valid Arkansas driver's license and automobile travel.
