SUMMARY:

Audiovisual Technician supports operation of our client’s Broadcast Operations Center at the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) located in Washington, DC. The Broadcast Operations Center delivers news, information, training, and employee development programs to all HUD employees nationwide.

The Broadcast Operations Center provides services Monday through Friday between 7:00 am and 6:00 pm; Flexible and compressed work schedules are available. The work hours may be adjusted by the Program Manager based on Department needs and scheduled events.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Operates multi-media equipment
• Provides setup of AV events
• Operates digital audio board
• Performs event staging tasks
• Performs troubleshooting, reporting of issues with AV equipment
• Assists clients with in-meeting support to include equipment and the placing of lapel microphones
• Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

Required:

• Associates Degree or equivalent experience
• Minimum three (3) years of experience in audiovisual event set up, staging, and systems troubleshooting
• Basic troubleshooting skills
• Detail-oriented, well organized, and able to handle multiple tasks
• Able to work independently and as a team member.
