Breast Center Manager manages the day-to-day operations of one or more mammography clinics. Responsibilities may include staffing, training, scheduling, budgeting, and marketing for the clinic(s). Being a Breast Center Manager may require a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Typically reports to a director. The Breast Center Manager supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. The Assistant Breast Care Coordinator works independently and with Breast Care Coordinators, the breast imaging physicians, medical oncologists, general surgery, schedulers and the mammography technologist to assist in coordination of the breast imaging care of patients. Schedules diagnostic breast imaging exams, mammography, ultrasounds and MRIs. Ensures completeness and efficiency of the schedule. Documents in the electronic health record, as indicated, all interventions and clinical changes using established care guidelines. Assist with chart abstraction, to support the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC) quality metrics. Serves as a patient advocate on the Breast Program Leadership Committee and during Multidisciplinary Breast Cancer Conference.
Associates degree with 1 years’ experience, or the equivalent in education and experience required. Prefer previous medical experience or general office duties.
