Job Description

The Branch VMI Specialist reports to the branch lead and supports the POU program including coordinating with outside and inside sales teams. This job will also assist the branch lead in other Branch projects as needed.

• Route Preparation - Assist with prep and staging the VMI routes for drivers - Confirm that all drivers have everything that is needed to get them out in a timely manner
• Driving -Backup VMI driver when needed - Perform driving inspections
• POU Set up and Maintenance - Help Set up Vending or other POU solutions - Evaluate effectiveness of POU solution, including proper Bins, Labels, organization and Cleanliness - Vending Machine PM maintenance
• Interact with Customers and with sales teams - Ensure Consistent Schedule (Same day, same time) for all routes - Assist sales and drivers find new sales opportunities - Manage stock outs - Review backorder reports
• Internal Process - Review and evaluate delivery routes - Ensure proper procedures are being followed including POD tracking - Daily DOT Inspection - Coordinate with Branch lead to ensure proper inventory levels at the branch
• Onboarding & Training - Asist in onboarding of new VMI personnel - Train new personnel in duties, processes and procedures - See that all tools necessary to do the job are provided - Participate in performance evaluations
• Teamwork and Other Responsibilities - Provide Warehouse Support - Order Processing including vend pack. - Create a strong Vend-pack system - Assist in other areas as needed
