Branch Review Specialist conducts branch internal audits to determine whether business controls are sufficient and effectively executed in accordance with bank policies and procedures. Tests established procedures to ensure operational efficiency within branch offices. Being a Branch Review Specialist determines whether branches are performing their planning, accounting, custodial, or business control activities in compliance with management instructions, policies, and procedures. Evaluates functions and activities in assigned areas to determine the nature of operations and the adequacy of systems to achieve established objectives. Additionally, Branch Review Specialist recommends corrective actions and improvements. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Branch Review Specialist occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function.     The Branch Safety Specialist is responsible for providing knowledge and awareness to employees to maintain and improve our safety program.


    What will you do?


    • Develops, prepares, and facilitates safety training to employees on a regular basis.
    • Deliver effective safety training as a primary job duty.
    • Prepares and maintains all required reports to achieve federal, state and local occupational health/safety compliance.
    • Maintains knowledge of all regulatory requirements regarding safety issues and interprets regulations and trains managers in compliance issues.
    • Performs periodic safety/loss inspections at all branch locations and provides recommendations, then monitors compliance with recommendations.
    • Provides counsel, guidance and technical advice to department managers on matters of occupational risk management to increase risk awareness.
    • Conducts specialized training for employees on matters of occupational and transportation safety procedures and loss control to achieve a safer workplace and regulatory compliance.
    • Selects, approves and authorizes purchase of safety and environmental products and services and approves invoices for these items to assure proper equipment selection and utilization to meet OSHA and MSHA requirements.
    • Responsible for preparation, submission and maintenance of workers compensation claims.
    • Assists all branches in organizing and facilitating safety meetings.
    • Claim management, recordkeeping, OSHA logs, Near Miss Reports, and safety incident reporting are among a few of the systems this position will monitor, maintain, and approve
    • Organize, schedule, and arrange training classes for New Employee Orientation, MSHA, and other courses dependent on employee training requirements.
    • Investigate all accidents and incidents - including property and vehicle damage

    Requirements

    What do you need?


    • 5-7 years working with Safety Compliance - preferably in Construction and/or manufacturing
    • Individual must be detail oriented, accurate, well organized and able to work effectively under pressure.
    • This position requires a pro-active, problem-solving individual who is able to manage a varied workload with constantly changing priorities.
    • Must have excellent listening, verbal and written communication skills.
    • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
    • Knowledge of MS Office and operate a Windows based computer.
    • Must be able to meet expectations of the position with minimal guidance or supervision.
    • Thorough knowledge of MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint and report writing applications
    • Thorough knowledge of OSHA regulations, MSHA regulations, FMCSA regulations, etc.

    This position will travel to other branch locations in Arkansas with expected overnight travel of 1-2 nights/week as needed.


    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and distance vision.
