Branch Review Specialist conducts branch internal audits to determine whether business controls are sufficient and effectively executed in accordance with bank policies and procedures. Tests established procedures to ensure operational efficiency within branch offices. Being a Branch Review Specialist determines whether branches are performing their planning, accounting, custodial, or business control activities in compliance with management instructions, policies, and procedures. Evaluates functions and activities in assigned areas to determine the nature of operations and the adequacy of systems to achieve established objectives. Additionally, Branch Review Specialist recommends corrective actions and improvements. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Branch Review Specialist occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function.     Position Summary

    The document review specialist position is accountable to perform two very vital functions within the background screening department.  The first is to perform accurate and timely verification of employment, education, professional and credential verification. Good communication skills are necessary for this role.   The second is to perform accurate and timely criminal research. This involves critical thinking skills and investigative skills.

    Essential Responsibilities

    • Perform employment and education verification in an accurate and timely manner being flexible with their daily routine and work flow can vary from one task to another.
    • Use good communication skills to speak to references of all levels including owners and CEO’s in order to complete a verification.
    • Use critical thinking to resolve any criminal records that are uncovered in the investigation of pre-employment screening.  This position would be using their trained skills to decipher charges and dispositions for clients and report clear and concise records.
    • Answer calls and respond to client’s inquiries in a professional manner.
    • Handle time-sensitive requests appropriately.
    • Must maintain the highest levels of customer care and confidentiality while demonstrating a friendly and cooperative attitude.
    • Participate in after hours and weekend support on a rotation basis with other team members.
    • Must be willing to be flexible to cross train in every area of the company and be ready to change tasks as the Operations Manager assigns them based on work flow needs.
    • Must be a team player in solving complex problems and issues.
    • Must be able to attend work on a regular and predictable basis.
    • Must be able to work well, efficiently and with accuracy under the stress of deadlines.
    • Must be able to work in a cooperative manner with managers, supervisors, coworkers, customers and the public.
    • Must be able to complete assigned tasks in a safe manner and in a constant state of alertness.
    • Must be able to uphold Company policies, including the anti-harassment program.

    Position Qualifications

    • High school diploma (some college preferred);
    • Ability to handle large, fluctuating volumes of work;
    • Strong PC, keyboarding and typing skills;
    • Attention to detail;
    • Strong customer focus.
