SUMMARY: Under the supervision and direction of the Branch Sales Manager, the incumbent provides support in the management of a branch location. The incumbent is responsible for a large portion of sales efforts to enhance and retain the retail customer base. The incumbent is required to draw from experience gained in order to make on-the-job decisions and communicate decisions in a tactful manner. Additional responsibilities include efforts related to customer service, branch operations and security. The Assistant Branch Manager will directly supervise front line associates. Should the Branch Sales Manager be called out of the branch, the incumbent is responsible for ensuring the efficient operation and supervision of the branch associates during the manager’s absence.

Ensure direct reports have completed required compliance training and are adhering to all internal procedures and controls as it relates to bank policy, laws, regulations and Arvest’s BSA/AML Program. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, appraising performance, rewarding, and disciplining associates. The incumbent has the authority and the appropriate influence to make recommendations regarding hiring, firing, advancement, promotion, or any other change of status of other associates within the guidelines of the bank’s procedures and guidelines for such change of status events. The incumbent provides training, planning, assigning, and directing work assignments and schedules; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
