Branch Manager Assistant assists the branch manager in the daily operations of a retail banking branch office. Performs routine branch opening, closing, customer service, and other operational tasks and activities. Being an Branch Manager Assistant assumes responsibility for the supervision of the branch office during the manager's absence. Assists in training and managing branch staff. Additionally, Branch Manager Assistant ensures that branch operations follow all company policies and procedures. Maintains the required security, operational, and service quality standards. Usually has completed a bank management training program. May require an associate degree. Typically reports to a branch manager. The Branch Manager Assistant supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. To be an Branch Manager Assistant typically requires 3 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. Summary:
SUMMARY: Under the supervision and direction of the Branch Sales Manager, the incumbent provides support in the management of a branch location. The incumbent is responsible for a large portion of sales efforts to enhance and retain the retail customer base. The incumbent is required to draw from experience gained in order to make on-the-job decisions and communicate decisions in a tactful manner. Additional responsibilities include efforts related to customer service, branch operations and security. The Assistant Branch Manager will directly supervise front line associates. Should the Branch Sales Manager be called out of the branch, the incumbent is responsible for ensuring the efficient operation and supervision of the branch associates during the manager’s absence.

May directly supervise one or more associates as assigned by the Manager. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Ensure direct reports have completed required compliance training and are adhering to all internal procedures and controls as it relates to bank policy, laws, regulations and Arvest’s BSA/AML Program. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, appraising performance, rewarding, and disciplining associates. The incumbent has the authority and the appropriate influence to make recommendations regarding hiring, firing, advancement, promotion, or any other change of status of other associates within the guidelines of the bank’s procedures and guidelines for such change of status events. The incumbent provides training, planning, assigning, and directing work assignments and schedules; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
