This is a part time to possible full time position in my office in Appomattox, VA. We serve clients from several counties throughout the year for income tax preparation and bookkeeping and payroll services.
Answering the phone, screening and replying to emails, administrative tasks, updating processes and procedures, QuickBooks Online data entry work (training provided), processing payroll items, workman's comp audits, income tax prep intake facilitation and data entry, scheduling tax client appointments and other misc. administrative tasks. You will learn about payroll processing, small business bookkeeping and income taxes as it relates to small business as well as individuals.
Successful applicant will have customer service experience including answering phones. Preferred past experience in or exposure to payroll processing, small business bookkeeping and income taxes as it relates to small business as well as individual income taxes. We will also provide training on the job.
Work schedule is Monday - Friday, 9-5. Looking for minimum of 30 hours to start with potential for 35-40 hours during tax season and beyond.
You will work directly with and receive training and instruction from the business owner.

A solid work ethic committed to consistent attendance with no drama is required.
Experience is preferred but not required. Not a remote position.
