Remote Quality Bookkeeping, an accounting firm specializing in franchise systems, is seeking a Bookkeeper to join our team. The Bookkeeper will handle tasks for clients in multiple industries and states and must be able to multitask, stay organized, and communicate professionally. This position allows work from home with manager approval. The Bookkeeper will gather, sort, and organize data, reconcile bank statements, maintain filing systems, pay and reconcile accounts, and participate in professional development opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Gather, sort, and organize data for processing
• Download bank statements and reconcile monthly bank statements
• Maintain paper and virtual filing systems
• Communicate with clients in a professional manner
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations and maintain confidentiality
• Pay and reconcile accounts payable and receivable, process payroll checks/liabilities, and journal outside payroll statements into QuickBooks
• Participate in professional development opportunities and contribute to team results
• QuickBooks certification upon joining the team
• Potential for increased hourly wage and additional benefits after a few months with the team

Qualifications:

• Basic understanding of accounting and QuickBooks Online, with preferred experience in QuickBooks Desktop
• Strong mathematical skills
• Able to research and produce reports
• Strong written communication skills
• Detail-oriented and able to work in a fast-paced team environment
• Understanding of US taxation and financial software
• Bachelor's degree in accounting preferred but not required
