As a key member of our finance department, you will play a crucial role in managing our financial records with precision and integrity. Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate financial records and statements, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll.
• Conduct regular reconciliations of all accounts to ensure their accuracy.
• Prepare financial reports, such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, on a monthly basis.
• Manage invoice processing, payment transactions, and tracking of company expenses.
• Collaborate with the accounting department to improve financial policies and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising management on needed actions.
• Assist with budget preparation and financial forecasting.
• Provide support during the annual audit process by working with external auditors.
• Stay informed on industry trends and best practices in financial management.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar role, preferably within the manufacturing or chemical industry.
• Strong understanding of bookkeeping practices and accounting principles.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, Xero) and MS Office.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to collaborate across departments.
• A commitment to ethical financial management and confidentiality.
• High school diploma required; associate's or bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
