Job Title: Operations Manager

Location: Ellensburg, WA

Job Summary: Calaway Trading, Inc. is an international exporter of agricultural commodity products that is looking for an experienced Operations Manager. As the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing our production operations. The role requires meticulous attention to detail, adaptability, and exceptional organizational skills. As the Operations Manager, you'll collaborate closely with plant management and the sales department to ensure seamless coordination and optimization of our production processes.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

• Efficiently prepare and administer work orders, ensuring timely completion within budgetary constraints
• Schedule production crew assignments to maximize productivity and efficiency
• Foster collaboration with customer service and procurement departments to streamline operations
• Familiarize yourself with USDA Export Programs
• Coordinate processing activities, aligning procurement, maintenance, and quality assurance efforts for optimal resource utilization
• Adjust processing schedules and priorities in response to equipment failures or operational challenges
• Manage inbound product deliveries and strategically arrange inventory location placement
• Direct tarping vendor activities to safeguard on-site and off-site
• Facilitate communication between the Customer Service department and freight forwarders for seamless vessel bookings
• Develop and implement workflow procedures to enhance efficiency and productivity
• Manage and provide guidance to direct-report employees to ensure team cohesion and achievement of operational goals

Qualifications

Qualifications:

• Advanced computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Inventory Management Software
• Strong data analysis skills, including the ability to interpret complex data sets and derive actionable insights
• A strong understanding of production schedules

Education/ Experience Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in operations management, supply chain management, business administration or related field
• 3 years of experience in the agricultural industry
• 3 years of production management

*An equivalent combination of training and experience may be considered in lieu of degree

Supervision:

• Position reports to the Owner/President
• Position manages at least 3 people but will vary depending on the time of year

Compensation and Benefits:

• This is a full-time salaried position
• Pay starting at $75,000 or DOE
• 401(k) and ROTH 401(k) with employer matching of up to 6%
