Boilermaker builds, repairs, tests, and maintains all types of boilers and high pressure vessels. Tests for structural soundness and inspects fittings, feed pumps, safety and check valves, water and pressure gauges, and controls to ensure boilers operate safely and efficiently. Being a Boilermaker reads and uses blueprints to determine locations, positions, or dimensions of parts. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Additionally, Boilermaker typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Boilermaker works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. Boilermaker Journeyman
This position is located in Southern California. It is full-time and not seasonal or temporary. We are looking to fill a this long-term. We do not work outside of Southern California! Pay range is based on experience. We will increase within the first 30 days if you have the experience and background.
MUST have knowledge of welding, pipefitting, assembly, install, and repair on boilers, closed vats, and other large vessels or containers that hold liquids and gases.
MUST have clean driving record and CA drivers license.
Perform engineering duties in planning and designing tools, engines, machines, and other mechanically functioning equipment. Oversee installation, operation, maintenance, and repair of equipment such as centralized heat, gas, water, and steam systems. Construct, assemble, maintain, and repair stationary steam boilers and boiler house auxiliaries. Align structures or plate sections to assemble boiler frame tanks or vats, following blueprints. Direct cleaning of boilers and boiler furnaces. Inspect and repair boiler fittings, such as safety valves, regulators, automatic-control mechanisms, water columns, and auxiliary machines.
