Reporting to the Director of Category Management, this position is responsible for maximizing non-fuel revenue by creating, managing and implementing product marketing activities to maximize sales in the dealer program working with vendor partners, category managers, and the dealer network. The Program Manager will quickly develop an in-depth understanding of the product portfolio, can measure the success or shortcomings of products and programs, and have above average relationship building skills with emphasis at the supplier level.
Major Responsibilities:
Work with Vendor Partners, Category Management team & Dealer Network to:

Lead dealer program while increasing same store growth and while adding value and leadership in the Dealer Network

Implement all legal requirements to mitigate risk and liability to ensure overall health of dealer network

Develop strategies to drive sales and profit.

Develop and manage dealer programs with vendor partners and dealer network

Establish and communicate pricing guidelines and shelving strategy with dealers

Coordinates sales promotion activities and prepares or directs workers in preparing the merchandise displays with dealers

Directs and coordinates the promotion of products manufactured to develop new markets, increase market share, and obtain a competitive position in the industry

Formulates pricing policies on merchandise according to requirements for the profitability of dealer store operations

Manages promotional activity including in-store specials, advertising, and printed material in conjunction with the Marketing Team.

Develop collaborative partnerships with suppliers to deliver against sales targets.

Work with suppliers to gain insights on consumer demands, customer profiles and product trends and help dealers see the importance of programs.

Monitors current Category market conditions, technology roadmaps and identify supply/demand challenges and opportunities.

Develops and maintains price book standards.

Delivers timely information and key insights on the dealer program strategy, business results and promotional activity.

Complete store tours on a quarterly basis to ensure our pricing is competitive, marketing programs are being executed effectively and to assist the store managers with vendor relations.

Directs or coordinates the ordering of merchandise or prepares requisitions to replenish merchandise on hand

Works closely with dealer network and assists with store resets. IT liaison for business related IT projects. Execute store Plan-O-Grams, train management on merchandising and Plan-O-Grams. Ensure the store image is consistent with company standards and displays a reputation for cleanliness, quality products with friendly, fast service.
Communications

Collaborate with Dealer Retail Operations on design, development, and deployment of new / enhanced products including equipment selection and procurement, product and ingredient selection, supply chain, food safety, labor, operations standards and compliance, and waste.

Support design of operating procedures and deployment of training materials for new and existing programs.

Partner with Dealer Retail Operations, Marketing, IT, and Finance to advance category-related initiatives, including pricing, promotions, technology, and operational compliance.

Establish and grow relationships, lead negotiations, and manage commitments to vendors and partners, including branded and franchised partners.

Prepare memos, presentations, and other communications for review and approval by Parkland’s senior management and leadership team.

Ability to travel and work flexible shifts during travel and store openings 30% of time
