Biostatistician conducts statistical studies to generate data and insights used to innovate, plan and support improved healthcare outcomes and processes. Prepares analysis plans to ensure the best statistical methods are developed and utilized. Being a Biostatistician writes specifications for files, consistency checks, tables, and calculations used to collect and analyzes data from a variety of sources. Interprets analyses and prepares exhibits for reports and presentations. Additionally, Biostatistician interfaces with non technical users to assist with data interpretation and understanding of results. Proficient with statistical computer applications like SAS and R. Typically requires a master's degree. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Biostatistician occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Position Description
The Biostatistician leads analysis and support for scientific studies, contract deliverables, data requests, and database maintenance activities utilizing the OPTN database, research analysis datasets and other sources of data as necessary.

PhD with 5 years of behavioral science, epidemiology, public health or other related research experience (to include Graduate Assistant work) required. Also will consider a Master’s degree with 6 years of professional work experience
