    JOB SUMMARY
    Truvian is seeking a Senior Biostatistician as we enter our next evolution phase.  This position is onsite.  In this role, you will provide biostatistics support for analytical and clinical studies. You will be part of the Biostatistics function and collaborate with internal team members to support the design, analysis, and interpretation of analytical and clinical studies to advance product development and clinical development. This is a hands-on position where you will perform statistical analysis and summarize study data for presentations and publications. You will partner with an interdisciplinary team of internal and external stakeholders, including regulatory, product development, marketing, and scientific affairs, to ensure the studies are well-designed and will deliver high-quality data to support evidence-based product claims. This role will report to the Senior Manager, Biostatics.

    WHAT YOU WILL DO:
    Broadly, this role is responsible for delivering Truvian’s diagnostic products to diverse, global end markets.

    This will require you to:
    • Provide statistical leadership and perform statistical analysis in support of analytical and clinical studies, specifically around study design, statistical analysis plans, statistical analysis, data interpretation, study reports, presentations, publications, and regulatory filings
    • Provide biostatistical support for product development (IVD assays, instruments, and software) and product verification and validation
    • Create sample size determinations, calculations of clinical accuracy, PPV, NPV, and other statistics of value for clinical trials and regulatory submissions
    • Participate in data quality and harmonization efforts for studies involving data from many sources
    • Perform quality control of statistical analysis and audit data
    • Conduct data review, write reports, and present analyses and interpretations to clinical development and product development teams
    WHAT YOU WILL BRING:

    The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in:
    • Biostatistical analysis and scientific leadership in clinical and analytical studies design and analysis in the context of IVD product development
    • Regulatory submission for IVD products
    • Analytical verification and clinical validation analysis following CLSI guidelines
    • Achieving (im)possible timelines through a combination of superior planning, proven assessment of risk, and the ability to inspire and enable others to move fast
    • Partnership and collaboration, ensuring relationships are at the forefront of our strategy, emphasizing the company and team over personal goals, and the ability to effectively
    • Communicate, both oral and written, with the ability to communicate frequently, clearly, and timely while keeping both internal and external parties aligned to deliver impact at pace
    • Business Tools, including experience implementing and working in project planning software, Microsoft Office products, statistical software (e.g., R, Python, Analyse-It, JMP, SPSS, SAS, Alteryx, etc), and more
    • Problem-solving, with solid analytical skills, which can be utilized to proactively identify and address issues with a solution-oriented approach with excellent time management skills

    The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 8 years, a Master’s degree with 6 years of experience, or a Ph.D. with 3 years of experience in biostatistics in a technical and/or leadership position in the in vitro diagnostics (IVD)/biotech industry. An advanced degree (PhD or MS) in Statistics/Biostatistics with solid theoretical and applied statistics knowledge is desired. Prior experience supporting statistical analysis for analytical and/or clinical validation studies in support of FDA submissions is strongly desired. Experience programming with R or Python and mastery of additional statistical software (e.g., Analyse-It, JMP, SPSS, SAS, Alteryx, etc.) is strongly desired. Familiarity with applicable regulatory standards, quality management systems, in vitro diagnostics product development process, and design control is highly preferred. Familiarity with cloud-based computing such as AWS and Azure is a plus. The candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced, start-up environment and manage aggressive timelines. S/He must demonstrate the flexibility and willingness to be the trailblazer to navigate unknowns and ambiguity.

    SALARY RANGE
    • $151,000 - $168,000

    This range considers the factors considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.  Salary offers are determined based on the final candidate's qualifications and experience.  Placement within the compensation range is determined by internal equity and relevant qualifications.
