Being a Biomedical Photographer photographs patients, operating room procedures, autopsy and laboratory specimens and other medical subjects. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Additionally, Biomedical Photographer may require a technical certification. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Biomedical Photographer works independently within established procedures associated with the specific job function. Has gained proficiency in multiple competencies relevant to the job. We contract with experienced newborn photographers looking to set their own schedules, join a community of passionate photographers, and focus on photographing newborns while we take care of everything else. We handle all pre-session (marketing, booking) and post-session (editing, retouching, orders) responsibilities. Our photographers set their own days, times, and areas to cover for sessions. Independent contractor relationship. Photographers must own a full-frame digital SLR or mirrorless camera and a 50mm or 24-70mm lens which must be capable of 2.8 aperture.
