  • Nova Biomedical is hiring a Supervisor to support our PCB Manufacturing group in our Waltham, MA facility (Hours 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM). The PCB Manufacturing Supervisor manages the daily activities of the Group Leader(s) and Manufacturing Associates in the assigned areas. This position develops and implements the initiatives necessary for manufacturing to achieve their stated objective of manufacturing products of superior quality and reliability, on time, and in the most efficient and cost-effective manner. This position has overall responsibility to ensure (1) their areas are compliant to all company standards and safety requirements, (2) their personnel are trained and competent in their duties, (3) accuracy of area inventory, and (4) the achievement of production schedules. Other responsibilities include:

    • Ensure weekly production schedules and department goals are met by working closely with PCB Group Leader(s), Master Scheduling, Manufacturing Engineering, and R&D.
    • Ensure the stocking of non-inventory material to support production requirements.
    • Manage the area's inventory through the cycle count program; determine root cause of discrepancies and correct, reconcile count discrepancies and input count data.
    • Manage and review production quality data with team members and resolve any manufacturing related issues.
    • Ensure that MV's and ECO's are reviewed with direct report(s) and implemented including (a) the reconciliation of obsolete and new documentation, (b) implementing of new training and the subsequent completion of training records, and (c) the disposition of specified material.
    • Manage, with the Group Leader(s), the releasing of work orders and ensure the completeness and accuracy of DHRs.
    • Assist in the generation and administration of performance appraisals.
    • Assist in the generation of yearly budgets and pay plans.
    • Drive continuous improvement activities.
    • Manage training requirements including the maintenance of the Master Control Training records.
    • Ensure tooling and equipment Calibration and Maintenance are completed.
    • Participate in interview for new hires.
    • Update and approve time sheets.
    • Ensure compliance with all company and department policies and procedures. Address performance issues as necessary.
    • Working with internal resources, suggest changes in working conditions, setup times, and equipment utilization to improve operational efficiencies.
    • Perform others tasks as assigned.

    Qualifications:

    • 10 plus years of hands-on experience in an Electromechanical/SMT Manufacturing environment, including a minimum of 3 years in a supervisory/leadership capacity. Medical device manufacturing environment a plus.
    • Working knowledge of GMP and ISO requirements. FDA requirements a plus.
    • Working knowledge of inventory control practices and manufacturing planning. SAP ERP experience a plus.
    • Working knowledge of SMT PCB equipment, SMT assembly and processes including BGAs.

    • Proficiency with MS applications; Word, Excel.

    Education/Experience:

    • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.
    • Minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience in an Electromechanical/SMT Manufacturing environment, including a minimum of 5 years in a supervisory/leadership capacity.
